Two days back I got a call from someone demanding payment right away, just like others mentioned here. I told them to mail me the details instead, and then they just hung up on me! I’ve reached out to d&g to report what happened.

Like others have mentioned, I got a call on this number too, with someone trying to sell me a washing machine insurance renewal. I was suspicious straight away and called my actual insurance provider who told me it was definitely a scam. They took some information off me and said they’d look into it and report the bloke to the police. Luckily, I managed to grab his phone number using 1471. Hopefully they catch this scammer soon. He’s tried ringing me again but I’ve ignored the calls.

Got a call from a very polite guy who said his name was Matthew and he was calling from ATC. He asked if I wanted to renew my washing machine insurance. I told him I didn’t have any insurance and asked about the model of the washing machine. As soon as I mentioned that, he just ended the call straight away. Seems like a clear scam, so watch out!

I got a voicemail claiming to be from HMRC saying my name is linked to an arrest warrant. Seemed really dodgy to me, not sure if anyone else has had this. Pretty worried at first!

Got a call from someone pushing washing machine insurance, which I wasn’t expecting. I asked what company they were with to be sure. Once I mentioned I believed my insurance was still active because I pay through direct debit, the caller just ended the call. I really shouldn’t be getting these unsolicited calls at all.

a couple of mins back i got a call from someone claiming to be from the renewals team about my washing machine insurance about to expire. he knew my name but never mentioned the brand of my machine or which company he was with. i told him i wasn’t interested, then he tried to convince me saying normally it’s £99 a year but today it was just £60. i kept saying no thanks and he eventually just hung up. i’ve only owned this washer for half a year!
