Today at about 1:25pm, a bloke named Edward rang me saying my home appliances insurance policy was going to be lowered this year. I told him straight away I don’t have any such policy and hung up. Funny thing is, I’d already had a similar call around 9am but couldn’t catch much except something about a policy I supposedly asked for. I get loads of calls about insurance for my appliances and one time a woman argued with me, insisting I had a policy and paid £95 last year! Complete rubbish.

I reckon this might be a spoofed phone number from some call centre, probably from Asia, trying the usual appliance warranty con. Best to stay cautious. The annoying part is blocking these spoof calls doesn't really help, since they just ring you back with another number afterwards. Such a waste of time!

Loads of calls recently where they don’t say who they are, no reply from me and no voicemail left either. Been happening quite often.
