Got a call from Jack Morris, claiming it was about my washing machine cover. He had my phone number and address, but the washing machine info was off. Told him I'd ring back as I wasn't comfortable sharing my card details right away, and instead of saying "talk soon," he just said "Have a nice day" and ended the chat. Pretty sure it's a SCAM.

Had these quiet calls like four times this week, really weird.

I got a call from someone saying they were from D&G, telling me my washing machine insurance was about to run out. At first, they sounded pretty convincing. But when I said I’d consider it and asked if they could send me the info in writing, the tone changed. They got pushy, saying stuff like "You don’t want to leave your machine without cover, right?" So I just hung up.

Just like what others have said, I got a call from DAG Insurance saying the warranty on my washing machine was about to end "anytime now". They pushed a deal for £299 covering 3 years or £99 annually. Thing is, my washing machine is about nine years old, and the original warranty only lasted two years anyway. It sounded pretty convincing at first and it took me a bit to realise something felt off.

So this guy Andrew rang me up, real sure of himself, saying something about a dryer cover that’s up for renewal this month. He’s pushing a 3-year contract for £299 and wanted my bank info to take a lump sum payment. Since I already pay by direct debit on my washer-dryer, I got suspicious straight away. I was like, ‘You must have those details already, right?’ And he just kept going on, trying to convince me. Told him he’s got the wrong person, mate. I then called back on 1471 to check what’s going on.

They rang up asking for a Mr Gallagher, so I asked if it was Noel or Liam they wanted. Told them I might be able to fetch one from the studio. Next thing you know, they just hung up out of nowhere. Typical!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Dag about my washing machine warranty. They wanted the expiry date on my debit card, said it was needed to renew the cover since it's paid by direct debit. I told them I wouldn’t share any card details on the phone and ended the call.

I just got a ring from some bloke called Josh at DAG, saying my washing machine insurance needed renewing. He asked if the machine was working alright, so I told him the lid was busted and wouldn’t shut. He said he’d send me a certificate so I could sort the repair claim, but I still haven’t got it. Honest, I hope Josh sees this because not only is he a right numpty, he’s also rude - just cut me off without a single word after that!

They called me about some policy they said I had with them, but turns out I don’t actually have anything with that company. I just ended the call right away. Watch out though, they seem like the type to take your money and then hit you with fees if you try to cancel.

I got a call from this number and when they asked if they were talking to my partner, I said no and they just hung up straight away. I tried ringing them back afterwards but the line said "the number you have dialled is not recognised." Definitely seems like some kind of scam to me.

At first, I could hear a lot of chatter and background clatter like from an office. Then this bloke said he was ringing from some company called DAG about my washing machine repair contract running out. Thing is, we don't have any sort of plan like that, so I clocked it was a scam right away. Still, the caller was really smooth, and I can imagine loads of folks might fall for it. I’m guessing they were probably fishing for bank or credit card info.

Wow, this is the second time these people have called me. Both times, they actually said my name even though my number isn’t in any directory. They were talking about renewing washing machine insurance. The moment I told them I don’t have any washing machine insurance, they just cut the call off without a word. Really strange.
