I’d recommend hanging up. There’s something quite dodgy about that call.

I received a rather alarming call suggesting that my National Insurance number was on the verge of being cancelled-yet it was evident that they had absolutely no understanding of how the UK system operates. They rattled off some case number supposedly linked to me and urged me to press 1. To top it off, their pronunciation was way off-certainly didn't sound like a local!
