My son-in-law got a call from this number the other day. A woman claimed to be from HMRC and said he’d be arrested in the next 45 minutes for tax evasion. She asked if he had money in his bank, and he said no. She then tried to keep him talking on the phone, but he was panicking and asked how he could fix things if she kept him on the line. He ended up hanging up. My daughter called the police, who told her it was a scam and that others had reported the same calls recently.
