Got a call today at 1.40 from this guy with a thick accent, said his name was Sam and claimed he was with TalkTalk about my internet. I messed about for half a minute making him say the same thing three times before I just ended the call. Folks be careful, they already had my last name but I never share anything with them. They’re the ones who should prove who they are, not me telling them stuff.

Does anyone know why TalkTalk can’t seem to block these annoying numbers? They say they’re from TalkTalk and even know some personal info. Could it have something to do with where their customer service team is based? It’s really frustrating!

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent saying she was from Talk Talk. She told me there was some issue with my internet and asked me to switch on my laptop. I told her no thanks and didn’t follow through. We actually stopped using Talk Talk ages ago anyway.

Got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, claiming to be from TalkTalk saying my PC was full of viruses. I recognised the scam straight away - had the exact same call a while back. Told her off pretty bluntly and ended the call. Seriously, what is Ofcom doing about all these fraud calls? Nothing as usual, I suppose. Big thanks to this site and everyone who’s shared their experiences - it really helped me trust my gut on this one.

Got a call from a bloke with a heavy Indian accent, claiming to be Daniel from Talk Talk. He kept saying there were problems on my computer and wanted me to let him access it. This isn’t the first time he’s called, and honestly, he’s either really thick or just won’t take no for an answer. I've not been a Talk Talk customer for ages, so it’s pretty obvious it’s a scam. Still, he keeps ringing! I’m definitely reporting it to Action Fraud once again.

Some guy with an Asian accent called me claiming to be from Talk Talk, saying my internet was messing up other people’s connections pretty badly without me even knowing. Honestly, these callers are just the worst, trying to scam people who might not be able to protect themselves. Luckily, I don’t use Talk Talk anymore, so he was basically talking to the wrong person. After a bit of chatting, he just gave up and ended the call. Still, I’m sure there’s someone out there who falls for this rubbish.

I got a call from someone named Sharon who claimed to be from TalkTalk and said she needed to urgently speak to my husband. This upset me a lot since he died 5 years ago. I told her off proper, called her out for being so disrespectful and dishonest, and said I’d be reporting her to the proper authorities. She didn’t seem bothered at all and just hung up on me!

Got a call from a bloke who wanted to chat with me, but there was a long silence first - felt like he was just ticking off names from some list. When I asked who it was, he said something about TalkTalk. I just shot back with "No, you're definitely not," and hung up. Figured they'd given it a rest since it’s been weeks since the last call, but I reckon they'll be ringing again soon. Next time, I’m ready with a whistle to give ’em a proper welcome!

This bloke claimed he was Sam from TalkTalk and went on about some computer errors or whatever. Told him to jog on right quick. It's my elderly folks' phone he’s always ringing on, even though I’ve blocked the number. The digits are 279999 or something like that. Proper annoying!

Had a call from someone with an Indian accent saying they were from TalkTalk. I told him I wasn’t convinced he was actually from them. He then asked, "Why wouldn't you believe I’m calling from TalkTalk?" I just replied "Nothing at all," and ended the call. After reading others' stories here, it’s obvious that was the best move.

This number called me again, claiming to be from TalkTalk. They said there was an issue with my internet and I’d soon get a yellow warning. I told him to speak with my partner who handles this stuff, but the bloke, who sounded Asian and said his name was Matk, just hung up. These calls come every 4 or 5 days, usually around half past twelve.

I got a call from this number the other day. I answered with a simple hello, but all I heard was some muffled voice and then it just cut off when I said hello again. Since it wasn't a familiar number, I immediately blocked it with my call blocker. After checking online, I’m pretty sure I made the right call. It’s a pity I’m not with TalkTalk anymore, cause from what people say, this is a scam. They try to trick you into thinking your computer’s got issues and then want loads of money to fix it. Trust me, there’s usually nothing wrong with your PC, and TalkTalk would never ring you up out of the blue like that. Stay safe and don’t fall for it!

Like many others, I keep getting calls claiming to be from TalkTalk, which are clearly scams. The script is always the same every time they ring me. I just tell them straight away that I know it’s a scam. Honestly, I figure if they waste time on me, that’s fewer people they might con elsewhere. This time the bloke was actually quite courteous (whereas before some have been downright rude or made nasty remarks, which was really off-putting). He even said he’d take my number off their calling list, though I’m not really expecting that to happen. Most of these calls usually come from private numbers, so it was a bit odd to see one with a proper caller ID this time.

I got a call on my home phone supposedly from TalkTalk. What was really worrying is they already had my address and account number. When I tried asking questions or asked to speak to a manager, they just couldn’t provide that and ended up cutting me off. Seems dodgy to me.

Got a call from a guy who sounded like he had a proper English name, but sounded Asian too - quite the mix. He claimed to be from TalkTalk and even knew my account number, which frankly freaked me out a bit! He said there was some issue with my internet. I told him I don’t do phone calls about this and asked him to send something in writing or email instead. Naturally, he wasn’t too keen on that idea. I had a call earlier from a guy whose voice was really soft and kinda muffled, couldn't make out much at all. He did say my name though, like “hello Mr”, but because I couldn’t catch what he was saying properly, I just told him that and hung up. Got a call from someone saying they were from TalkTalk’s service team, which instantly made me suspicious. I played along for a bit just to see what they were after. Surprisingly, they had my full name, address, and even my account number - no idea how they got that info. Eventually, I got fed up when they started pushing me to install some remote support app to access my work laptop. got a call from someone pretending to be talktalk, was trying to trick me into downloading something dodgy. dont trust them, it’s probably a virus so they can spy on your phone or computer. talktalk themselves wouldnt ring you about these things out of the blue. if you’re not sure just check with talktalk directly either on the phone or through their online chat.

Got a call from 0203879778 claiming to be from TalkTalk’s support team, which immediately raised a red flag for me. I played along just to see how far they’d go. Got a call off this bloke with an Asian accent, proper pushy and rude, saying my router had issues and I needed to be by my computer. I wasn’t having any of it and asked to talk with his manager. I said I’d reboot the router and ring him back on the same number, but never did. Ended up calling TalkTalk instead, and they told me it was a load of rubbish and a scam.

Got a call this morning at about 8.35 from a man with an Asian accent claiming something was wrong with my computer. This scam has been going on intermittently for more than a year now! Every time it’s the exact same story. I’ve reported them multiple times to Trading Standards and local cops - they even looked into it. Apparently, TalkTalk got hacked ages ago and customer info leaked to some third party. It was all over the news, yet somehow these annoying calls just never stop!
