Got a call from someone saying they were from an energy company wanting to check how much I pay for electricity. I asked if they were from the National Grid, and if so, they should already have my contract info and supplier details. They said they needed to verify some things first. I pointed out that since they called me, they should have my details without needing to ask. The person then said they just look stuff up on Google. I asked why they’d use Google if they truly were from the National Grid, and suddenly the line went dead. Bit odd if you ask me!

Got a robo call saying I was being looked into for some sort of tax dodging. If only they knew mate. Best to just ignore it.

got a call off someone sayin they were from carphone warehouse offering to upgrade my phone for just £26, said theyd cover my contract and it was a one time fee. they even claimed they could sort contracts with ee and O2 but as far as I know carphone warehouse doesn’t deal with them anymore. watch out, this sounds like one of those christmas scams targeting folks who might not be on their guard.
