Got a call claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. I told them right away that my number's on the TPS list and they wasn't allowed to ring me. As soon as I mentioned that, the line went dead. Calling a TPS registered number is illegal, no doubt. So either this really is Carphone Warehouse ignoring the law or, more likely, it's some scammer pretending to be them. Either way, I wouldn't pick up if this number calls you.

For the past few months, I've been plagued by calls that keep cropping up. They all begin with 020 3789, but the final four digits keep swapping about. I've already blocked a handful of these numbers, as they're nothing but a persistent bother, yet here comes another variant with just a few digits different! Sometimes, I receive as many as three or four of these calls in a single day, although it's not a daily occurrence-usually two to four times a week. It’s getting quite tiresome!
