11 monthsHad three calls from this number today that I missed. Checked it out on this site and it turns out it’s a scam.1 yearGot a call from someone claiming to be from EE, said my SIM was gonna be locked in two days. When she asked who was the account owner, I told her it wasn’t me. Then she wanted to know who actually was, so I asked if she was legit from EE since I thought they’d know that info already. After that, she just acted like she didn’t catch what I said. Bit dodgy if you ask me.EE1 yearGot caught up with a gang of criminal scammers. It started when someone hit me up on a dating app - POF, I think. They had fake pics and kept chatting on WhatsApp. Later, a 'mate' of theirs got in touch too. When I dialled the real number, a guy with an Asian accent answered asking "Who’s this?" Sounds like a well organised crew. They said they were based in Finsbury Park or Haringey but then switched to saying they were from Manchester. Some other numbers they used showed up as scam numbers from Cheshire when I checked. Definitely be prepared, these lot are proper organised.POFWhatsAppFinsbury ParkHaringeyManchesterCheshire1 yearJust like loads of others here, the person on the phone said they were with EE and that my SIM was about to get blocked soon. I told them exactly where to shove it and ended the call quick sharp.EE1 yearGot a call from a woman speaking with an Indian accent saying my phone number was about to be blocked because of loads of problems. She said EE would send a new SIM, and I’d just need to pop it in my phone. She mentioned I’d get a message telling me the old SIM was blocked. Then she asked if I could be available tomorrow morning or afternoon for the SIM delivery. I told her I’m not an EE customer, ended the call, and blocked the number straight away.EE1 yearSomeone called pretending to be from EE, saying they wanted to lower my phone bill. But I’m not the account holder, and the actual EE team already knows that. Seems dodgy to me.EE1 yearGot a call from someone with an Indian accent pretending to be from EE. They told me my SIM card was about to get cancelled. Definitely a scam!EE1 yearGot a call from someone claiming to be with EE, asking for my passwords because apparently my SIM was going to be blocked. I pretended to go along with it, told him I was with O2 instead. Then he switched, said he was from O2 himself. When I told him the call was being recorded, he insisted he was with EE again. Out of nowhere, he called me a scammer, called me some mad names about being a woman born from the devil, then just hung up! What a weird experience.EE1 yearI got a call from someone claiming to be from Sky, and they sent me an email to change my password. The email looked just like the one I got from the actual Sky site, so I thought it was legit at first. I’ve already changed my password just to be safe. When I told the caller I’d ring Sky myself to check about a new offer, they quickly hung up. I’ve blocked the number now and made a report.Sky1 yearCheeky scam attempt.2 yearsThis is the third time this week I've got a call like this. Same story again, a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be ringing from Sky. I just blocked the number and reported it straight away.Sky2 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be from “BT network” - total scam, don’t trust it!BT2 yearsSeems like just another scam call to me.2 yearsJunk calls!Submit Your Own Report (020 3787 9231)
