It seemed like someone was speaking live, but it was actually a recorded message. I replied with a question that didn't fit their script, then it switched to a different message. When I asked another question, it changed again and finally said they couldn’t assist me right now before hanging up.

Phoned me up, saying they were from EE and were keen to offer a discount on my contract. The only thing they needed was my name, which struck me as odd. I couldn't quite wrap my head around why they’d require my go-ahead to apply a reduction to my account. It just felt a bit fishy!
