I’ve been receiving calls from this number repeatedly, yet no one picks up when I answer. It’s quite puzzling as when I attempt to return the call, I’m met with a message stating the number isn’t recognised. Very odd indeed!

I just got a call from some firm that sounded like D & G or something, talking about laundry machine insurance that strangely is about to expire. They only wanted details like my bank account number and sort code, which seemed dodgy to me. Needless to say, I ended the call straight away.

This guy, British bloke with a thick accent, called me from what sounded like a busy place. He was chatting about adding a warranty for a washing machine or something along those lines. Thing is, we got our washer just a couple of weeks back, so it's covered by the factory warranty already. When I asked "what machine exactly?" he just ended the call right away.

They told me because I haven’t claimed anything this year, my cover would be cut down by £2 a month from my direct debit. I told them I don’t even pay through direct debit and then they just hung up on me! Proper con artists.

He rang me up sayin he was from some firm that supposedly covers my washing machine, which isn’t true at all. He even knew my first name right off the bat. Didn’t hang about - blocked the number straight away!

They insisted it wasn’t sensitive and claimed they’d never ask for the full card number. Then they offered to put me through to their "security expert," who just so happened to be right beside them, repeating the same spiel. I told them I’d just let the policy expire, and then they just ended the call. Typical!
