020 7631 9641 called me with an automated message claiming to be from "HMRC" saying there was fraud linked to my account. They said if I didn’t press 1, a warrant would be put out and I’d get arrested. Proper scam, don’t fall for it!

The McMillan lottery keep ringing to get you to increase your donation. They’re quite nice on the phone, but they'll just keep phoning until you either pick up or block their number.

Got calls twice daily all week. Picked up today and it was a friendly woman saying she works as a fundraiser for Macmillan. She mentioned the lottery I already support. After a bit of chat, I guessed she was after me signing up for more things. I told her nicely that I’ve got a budget for donations and can’t do any extra. Also asked her to not call again. She said have a nice day and ended the call.

They called me twice every day for a whole week. Finally, I picked up today. A friendly lady came on, said she works for Macmillan doing fundraising. I already take part in their lottery. After a fair bit of talking, I figured she was going to ask me to sign up for more. I nicely explained I’m careful with how much I give to charities and can’t afford to add anything else. I also asked her not to call me again. She said thanks, wished me a nice afternoon and then hung up.

They rang me loads of times, but whenever I answered they just dropped the call right away. One of the calls even came at 8:30 in the evening, which is just crazy. Definitely scammers.

Not sure but seems like it could be a dodgy scam call.

most likely just another scammer, trying to reach the last poor elderly lady who had this number before us. with so many scam calls these days, it’s probably just someone hoping to squeeze one last bit of cash before she’s gone.
