I just received one of those dodgy survey calls. It was a recorded message pretending to be from IFF Research, asking for personal information. Do yourself a favour and don’t share any of your details with them!

Got a call from someone looking for a former student of a UK uni. They wanted email addresses and other contact numbers for the person but wouldn’t give me any way to get back to them, no phone number or email or anything. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

I recently got a call from IFF Research, who’ve been hired by HESA on behalf of my uni to do the Graduate Outcomes survey over the phone. It’s apparently the UK’s biggest annual social survey, focusing on what recent grads are up to and how they're doing. They reach out to everyone who’s finished a higher ed course in the UK about 15 months after graduation, hoping to get feedback that helps students understand career paths and opportunities better. IFF said they’d ring me back sometime soon to collect my answers, but I’ve also got emails and texts with links if I prefer to fill it out online instead.

In just a couple of days, this number has called loads of phones all over the UK, and every time I answer with a simple hello, they just hang up. It's really shady if you ask me.
