I received a voicemail urging me to return the call, claiming I was under arrest for insufficient tax payments. The caller used a private number and when I rang back, I noticed the tone indicated it was an overseas call. An individual with a distinct Indian accent picked up. Clearly, it was an attempt to impersonate the tax office to con unsuspecting victims.
