This morning I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was calling from Amazon. He told me there was some suspicious activity on my account and asked me to turn on my laptop. I ended the call straight away. Definitely sounded like a scam to me. Watch out for these!

So, quite odd for me, I actually picked up the phone instead of letting the answerphone take it like usual. The call barely rang a couple of times before the screen on my phone just went dark when I tried to answer. Out of curiosity, I used the 'last number dialled' to call back the number that had shown up. When I rang, some sort of message said the number wasn’t in service. I’m guessing the call was from some automatic system that recognised it’d hit an answerphone and cut off straight away. Seems like it was one of those dodgy calls.
