I even let her send an email, which I haven't opened yet but kept just in case it helps with any investigation. I said I'd speak to my sister who works high up in the tax department and that I'd ask her to verify things. The woman quickly hung up after that. What really worried me was how she already had my address.

So this time it was a lad with a Scouse accent, but using a London number. He kept calling me ‘Miss’ and kept asking about some car accident in April at 10:30, which I’d never heard of. He was clearly trying to get info, like my name and stuff, but I didn’t give him anything. Got a really pushy call from a company trying to get me to make a personal injury claim, asking me if I was hurt in an accident that I wasn’t even part of. They kept calling me "Sir" even though I’m a woman. I told them they were breaking GDPR rules since I never agreed to them having my info, then I blocked their number. I kept getting loads of calls from Simple Legal Advice, like over 20 missed ones, so I finally answered. I asked to speak with their HR team to find out how they got my number for that FOI thing. The woman I spoke to started arguing, said she'd put me through to HR, then just hung up on me! Tried calling back but no luck, couldn’t find anything about them online or on Companies House either.
