I answered and asked who it was, and then they started swearing at me, telling me I shouldn’t have answered the call, and then they just hung up.

Received a call from a chap named Thomas Kirk, claiming to be from "Domestic Appliance". He was inquiring about renewing coverage for several household goods. There was a noticeable delay before the line connected, which I found rather peculiar. While he insisted that no payment was involved, he seemed rather insistent on me providing my bank details. They were after my sort code and bank PAN. I mentioned that they should already possess this information and asked to verify what they had first. He replied with the first digit of my card number, claiming that was adequate proof! Quite the dodgy operation, really. They had a convincing tone, but it was clearly a cold call, and when I inquired about his phone number, it didn’t tally with what's on my caller ID. Stay vigilant, folks!

This evening, my elderly mother received a rather concerning call from a person named SARAE. They inquired about renewing a supposed warranty on her appliances and requested her bank information, including the name of her bank. The caller suggested that if she didn't wish to renew, she should call back and speak to SARAE. Given that my mum is 86 and isn't entirely sure if she provided any details, I decided to play it safe and had her card cancelled. I'm considering giving that number a ring myself to voice my displeasure, but I fear I might be charged for that call. My advice is this: steer clear of these scammers! Just hang up and don’t engage with them at all.

Just to echo what others have mentioned, I received a call regarding the renewal of my appliance insurance. I firmly refused to share any bank account information, as I've already fallen victim to a scam once before. It was a tough lesson to learn! In the end, I simply hung up the phone. I usually ignore calls from unrecognised numbers, given the sheer volume of fraudulent calls lately.

I received a call of a similar nature, and they kept trying to sell me additional gadgets for what they claimed was the same deal. It's definitely a fraudulent operation, no doubt about it!

Received a call from Domestic Care & Repair regarding the renewal of my policy for the washing machine, oven and fridge. I informed them that I didn’t remember having such a policy but promised I’d look into it and call them again. The agent was quite sluggish in providing me with their contact number, so I took it upon myself to investigate and discovered that I have no policy on record with them. I’ve decided to add their number to my blocked list!

Relentless calls from a scam operation posing as Domestic Care. They've been pestering my elderly mother, inquiring whether she’s received some paperwork. They've got her number, falsely claiming she needs to renew something and trying to pitch their rates. The truth is, she isn’t even insured with them! They nearly tricked her into handing over money. It’s been a near daily harassment. Had to contact the bank urgently to cancel her card. Pure scam nonsense!

Had a rather dodgy call from this number earlier today. The caller claimed to be from some sort of domestic care renewals, trying to chatter on about renewing a warranty for my kitchen gadgets. Well, seeing as I haven’t ever signed up with them, it was obvious they were up to no good. When I inquired about the caller's name, she responded with “Sidney Wilson.” Not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, are they?

I received a rather unexpected call from a company claiming to be Domestic Care and Repair, insisting that it was time for me to renew my insurance on kitchen appliances. However, I've never taken out any insurance for any household items, so this raised quite the red flag for me. They attempted to entice me in with a supposed 35% discount if I continued my “coverage” for another year with them. Then things took a dodgy turn; they wanted me to fetch my cheque book to verify my banking particulars, including my sort code. I managed to keep them engaged in conversation for over ten minutes, rather pleased with myself for possibly wasting their time and resources. It’s blatantly a scam, and I'm advising everyone to steer clear!

I've had a similar experience, I must say. They seemed to have all my personal information - my name, address, and even some out-of-date debit card numbers. What really irked me was the incorrect appliance details they were throwing around. It felt like they were trying to corner me into making a rushed decision!

I received a phone call from someone claiming to represent "Domestic Care," informing me about the upcoming renewal of my washing machine insurance, which they said is due in just two days. To be honest, I can't recall ever signing up for any such plan with them, as my insurance is currently with a different provider and doesn't run out until September. Could this possibly be a scam? I'm uncertain. The number that popped up on my caller ID is 02039856. Any thoughts on this?
