Best not to pick up. Just by answering, your number gets snapped up and sold to others. Anyone who really wants to reach you will leave a message. Every time you pick up, you’re opening the door for scammers, so your number becomes valuable in that market. If you never answer, you’ll notice the calls slow down. Blocking them helps even more.

they've rung my mum like five times this week and whenever we pick up, they just hang up. the last time they called, they said there's a warrant out for her arrest and cops are coming. well, it’s been five months now and still no sign of any police.

This person said their name and asked if I was (my name). When I asked the reason for the call, they repeated the question if I was really me. Then they abruptly told me to f#### off mam and hung up right after I pressed for info. Sounded aggressive, rude and had a foreign accent. Definitely feels like a scam and pretty dodgy in my view. Many scams try to get you to confirm your name before stealing your identity. Just watch out for calls like this!

I didnt answer the phone but love checking who rings. This thread has all sorts, from NHS Covid tests to HMRC owing money. Sometimes its a dodgy washing machine sales call too. Some folks even got shouted at by the caller. Bit of a bummer I missed it, loads just get hang ups and missed calls, feels like theyre passing your number around, I reckon.

The person, who spoke with an Asian accent, said sorry and asked if I was interested in the vaccine. I told them that if the FDA hasn't approved it, they're actually doing something illegal, then I ended the call.
