Got a call at about 11 in the morning, guy asked if i was the person he wanted (he did get my last name right though). I asked him where he was calling from, and he snapped back with "You don’t even know your own name?" which felt really rude. I wasn’t about to say yes unless he told me who he was first, but he just kept repeating himself and then hung up. Definitely felt a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call around 11:35 this morning. The person said they had a few quick questions - "won't take too much of your time," they said. Then, just as suddenly, they hung up, so I just blocked the number. The thing is, TPS basically can’t stop these calls since they say it counts as "market research." This is definitely a SCAM from INDIA. These people are total nuisances and can be quite risky since they'll try to trick you into giving your bank info by pretending they're verifying direct debits for companies like BT or SKY. Best thing is just don’t pick up and block these numbers straight away because they’ll just ring from another phone number again. You could also report them to ICO, Ofcom or TPS, but honestly not sure how much that helps. K41

Got a bloke ringing me up saying he's got three questions to ask. I told him to just remove my number from their records, but he refused and said he'd keep ringing every 30 mins till I answered. I asked if I could talk to his supervisor, but surprise, surprise, the manager wasn’t around. Honestly, if they keep pestering me like this, I’m gonna make sure they regret it.

Loads of times I get calls from numbers beginning with 02 and I just dont pick up anymore. What I do now is look them up here first. Pretty much all of them have been flagged by other people who got the same annoying calls. Plus I've noticed that if you just ignore the first call, they usually don’t bother calling again.

Got a call on my phone about 5 in the evening. The voice had a really thick accent, couldn’t tell if it was a guy or a girl. They kept insisting it’d only take a minute. I told them I was tied up but they didn’t stop asking questions. After a bit, I told them maybe they should find someone actually interested and then I ended the call.

I picked up the phone and just said hello, then this guy with a foreign accent said hello back. I decided to mess with him a bit and told him I was calling from the Ipswich fraud unit, Detective Murdoch here, how can I assist you? He just hung up straight away, haha.
