I've just had a rather puzzling call from this number, purporting to be from the Windows Technical Support team, insisting that there's an issue with my home computer. The individual on the line was rather hard to decipher and suggested I ring them back once I was near my machine. I hesitantly jotted down the number they provided-02037705880-along with a reference number, WT002, and they reiterated my PC reference as 88vdc860, but it all seems incredibly suspect!

I received a call from someone claiming to be called Steven Burke, but I picked up on a distinct foreign accent which raised my suspicions. He mentioned there was an issue with my Microsoft Windows licence and urged me to log onto my computer so he could guide me through some steps to resolve it. The incoming number displayed on my phone was 0113 310016, which is registered in Leeds. When I requested his contact information, he provided a London number, 0203 7705880, along with an address at 80 Victoria Street. This location seems to be a serviced office space based on the link I found: https://www.commerciallistings.cbre.co.uk/en-GB/listings/property/details/GB-Plus-431130/cardinal-place-80-victoria-street-sw1e-5jl?view=isLetting I quickly concluded this might be a scam attempt and chose not to pursue the matter further.

I recently received a peculiar call from this number, which turns out to be linked to a hospital. Some bloke introduced himself as 'Alex Smith' and claimed he was from the Windows Technical team based on Victoria Street in London. He was going on about an issue with my computer, but when I requested his phone number and more details, he suddenly got evasive. I suggested he put his concerns in writing, and just like that, he hung up on me! When I followed up by dialling this number myself, I was met with the surprising news that it's a hospital line. So, a word of caution - be cautious with calls that come in as private numbers!
