I received a rather peculiar call from some fellow in South Africa who seemed to have a mix-up with my email but had all my other details spot on. He insisted I had shown interest in some online trading scheme. Quite frankly, it's absolute nonsense, as that's not something that piques my interest at all! When I probed further about when and how I supposedly submitted this info, he had the audacity to claim I visited a certain adult website and responded to an ad! I found that to be quite defamatory and asked for solid evidence, to which he promptly hung up on me. I tried ringing the number back, only to be told it was "not recognised." Who on earth are these dodgy characters?

Got a call from some bloke in South Africa who somehow had a couple of my details right but got my email all wrong. He reckoned I’d signed up to some scheme about making cash through online trading, which is complete nonsense as I haven’t done any of that. When I asked him where and when I supposedly did this, he said I must’ve answered an ad on some dodgy website. I told him that’s pretty slanderous and asked for evidence, but he just hung up on me. Tried ringing back and it’s just a dead end. What a load of scammers they are!

Just had a rather strange phone call from a chap down in South Africa. He seemed to possess some of my details including a couple of the correct ones, but my email address was completely off the mark. He insisted that I had shown interest in making some dosh through online trading, which, to be honest, is the last thing on my radar! When I prodded him about where, when, and exactly how I’d supposedly done this, he threw out some wild claim about me visiting an adult site and responding to an ad. I couldn’t help but call that a rather outrageous accusation, and I requested more evidence for his claims. Surprise, surprise, he promptly hung up on me! I tried to ring the number back, but it turned out to be “not recognised”. Honestly, who are these lowlifes? It's infuriating!

got a call on my swedish phone while i was in sweden, didnt pick up cause ive heard about loads of scams where if u answer, u get charged crazy high fees. after reading the comments here, it’s definitely odd. why bother ringing a swedish line anyway? cheers, joel

Beware of this company named 98, they claim to provide financial investment opportunities but it’s just a scam. Once you hand over your money, forget about getting it back. Most of these firms seem to be operating from places like Cyprus or Israel, and some even come out of Bulgaria, Romania, or Russia. Don’t trust them!

First, the caller claimed to be from g8 market - some sort of trading firm. They insisted I’d set up an account with them a few weeks back. I told them I never did, then asked for any info they had on me, just in case someone nicked my ID. Right after that, the bloke just ended the call. Sounds like a total scam to me, steer clear!
