1 yearI got a call from +442037698457 asking for someone named Josef, but I don’t know anyone by that name. It was the first time this number rang my mobile here in Sydney, and since I didn’t see any warning signs that it was a scam, I picked up. I don’t have a landline in Merrylands, so when I hung up, the same number rang back about 5 to 10 minutes later. That time they addressed me by my full name, but I’m still not Josef nor the person they wanted. I kept pretty short with them since I don’t really like dealing with this Josef character - maybe they meant Josef's dog or something from Tom and Jerry cartoons, who knows. When I asked what it was about, they said they were planning to send me money from some investment I supposedly made as a shareholder. I asked about the share price, and they mentioned a lump sum £10,000 paid as a ‘free service’.
