Just like others have said, I got a call right at 3pm, and at that exact moment, I also got a one-time code from O2. I didn’t pick up the phone, but I went ahead and updated my password on the myO2 app straight away.

I ignored the call since I’d just got a text from O2 saying they’d send a security code I never asked for. Another warning popped up saying the caller might be a scammer. In total, I got three calls from different numbers, each one marked as spam. Definitely dodgy.

I just got a call from 020 37694054, the person on the line was speaking really poor English and claimed to be from O2. They tried to convince me I could get a 30% discount if I sent back a six-digit code they mentioned. I looked up the number here and turns out it’s a scam. Definitely don’t trust calls like this.

Had a call from someone pretending to be O2, said my number had won a prize or something - sounded like one of those standard call centre scams from India. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, trying to sell me a mobile offer for Curry’s. I told her I was actually in a Curry’s shop and would sort it out there, hoping she’d drop it. But she kept pushing, so I just told her to find something better to do with her time. Definitely a scam.

I got a call claiming to be from o2, but right as the phone rang, I got a message from o2 warning about a possible scam and said to hang up. I tried asking the person on the line who they were a couple of times, but they just cut off the call. By the time I read the text, the call was already finished.

Got a call yesterday from someone claiming to be from Currys, talking about a phone deal. Then they suddenly said they weren’t selling anything. Got another call from some London number claiming to be O2. This is twice today from different numbers, and both times I blocked 'em and reported them. For starters, I’m nowhere near London, and secondly, I don’t even use O2. These scammers aren’t gonna get anything from me. Buzz off!

Since yesterday morning, I’ve been getting flooded with calls. I told the bloke I was at work, but he still rang again this morning. He claimed to be from O2 and offered to “upgrade” my contract with free calls, texts, and more data. Oddly, my current contract is just £10.50 a month, but he said he could sort it for £7 instead. Before I picked up today, I’d already looked up the number - there were a few similar ones he’d used before. If you call them back, you just get a recorded message about “Expert Developers” or something. Definitely a scam, stay well clear!

Phone scam alert. These fraudsters claim they're from Currys Mobile, but they trick you into a contract way different from what you agreed on, usually the priciest phone they can push. They switch between various numbers to keep you confused. This particular number pops up on Whatsapp. Once the package arrives, they'll ask you to return the phone to some dodgy home address. Stay sharp and don't fall for it!

Beware of dodgy phone calls! I’ve recently had a run-in with some scammers posing as representatives from Currys Mobile. They’re incredibly deceptive, signing you up for a completely different plan than what was originally discussed, often pushing the priciest phone on the market. What’s more, they use a variety of phone numbers to bait unsuspecting victims, including some linked to Whatsapp. It was through Whatsapp that they initially contacted me. After the parcel arrives, they’ll attempt to persuade you to return the phone to some dubious residential address. Stay alert and steer clear of these scams!

Today, I got a phone call from some bloke named Zack Wilson, sounding like he had an Indian accent. He was trying to sell me some "limited time" iPhone offer from Curry’s. He really pressured me to hand over my personal info straight away, but I said I’d look him up first. So I Googled the number and told him I’d rather sort this out in person at a Curry’s store because his number popped up on a scam alert list. After that, he started calling me names and told me not to ring him back (even though he was the one who called me first).

Got a call from some guy who said he was Harry Wilson, had quite a thick Indian accent. He tried selling me a cracking deal on an iPhone that sounded way too good to be legit. When I tried ringing back, he kept using different numbers. The email he gave was something like [email protected], almost right but not quite. Watch out, folks, there's definitely some dodgy stuff going on!
