I keep getting phone calls here in Switzerland from 02037693993. They always ask specifically for me by name, but I’ve got no ties or relatives in the UK at all. Whenever I tell them I’m not the person they’re after, they just end the call.

Got a call on my Norwegian mobile from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was conducting a survey for the Wall Street Journal. He already knew my full name. I let him finish the questionnaire, which felt harmless and mostly had simple yes or no questions about interest rates, income bracket, and whether I invest in stocks. At the very end, he asked for my email, but I didn’t want to give it out. Feels like the whole thing was just a way to get my email in the first place.

Got a call on my Danish mobile, and the person was saying something like "sjieu we waah" or whatever, didn’t catch it properly. I told them, "That’s not me." Then they asked my name, and I replied, "Doesn’t really matter. What matters is who you’re after. Good luck finding them." The caller then chuckled and said, "Alright then. Hehe. Bye." So yeah, sounds like a real human, because bots wouldn’t get the joke.
