Pretty soon, folks with Asian accents might find it tough to get work since lots of people just won’t wanna deal with them. It’s getting worse, and jobs might dry up fast for them.

I got a call from a London number, didn’t pick it up. Then a bit later, the same number popped up again but this time it looked like it was calling from Egypt. It rang for a bit and then they just hung up. Strange.

Just like a lot of others here, I got a call from a woman who sounded foreign, maybe Indian, her voice was quite high and she spoke really fast. I couldn’t catch what she was saying, so I asked her to say it again, but still had no clue. I gave it another go asking once more, and she just said "oh dear". I ended the call then, pretty sure it was a scam from abroad. Honestly, you sort of feel sorry for them, they’re so useless at it. If you’re gonna scam folks, at least try to sound believable! These calls are so hopeless they’re almost funny.

Utterly irritating. Complete fool.

Got a couple of calls from London, sounded like the people speaking English weren’t great at it. Answered both times since we do get business calls from there, but after checking this site, I just blocked the number.

The call was terrible, I couldn’t make out a word he said. I told him I wasn’t interested and reminded him it was a Saturday and Boxing Day. Then I just ended the call.

People like these really make things harder for Indians. It's already tough enough, and behaviour like this just adds fuel to the fire. Honestly, where's the pride in acting like that?

Whenever I get spam calls, I always tell them to delete my info from their records since that’s actually a legal right we have. If they bother me again after that, I’m ready to report them straight to the ICO without hesitation.

Some woman rang up saying she was from Carphone Warehouse - or at least I think that’s what she said, the connection was awful so I wasn’t totally sure. She was trying to pitch me an iPhone 11. I explained it was a work number and we don’t use mobiles for business, but she insisted I give her my personal number so she could make the offer directly. I had to tell her repeatedly, probably five times, that I’m not interested in iPhones. She just kept going on about how brilliant the deal was. In the end, she seemed to realise I wasn’t biting and just ended the call.

Barely a minute passed before she rang me up again, asking why I’d ended the call. I told her straight away I neither own nor want an iPhone, but she was back on her sales pitch without skipping a beat. After a while, I just said there’s no need to keep repeating myself and asked how many times she needed to hear I’m just not interested. Guess she finally took the hint - it’s been 10 minutes since she tried again. :)

They’ve rung me a couple of times, said hello and then just ended the call. I’m not going to bother ringing back and have blocked the number.

I got a call from a lady with a thick accent, sounded like she was from somewhere in the Indian sub-continent. The call quality was really bad, like her phone was busted or something. Wonder if she should get a better device!

They rang me 4 times in just 5 minutes. At first, I couldn’t make out what the caller was saying, and when I told them I wasn’t interested, they still kept calling back over and over. Honestly, it feels like a total nuisance and even borderline harassment.

I couldn't quite catch the name of the company, the call seemed to be coming from India with loads of pauses and silence in between. Ended up hanging up on them - just total timewasters these days. Honestly, with businesses still trying to recover from the covid lockdown mess, we really don’t need people wasting our time like this.
