Got a call from an unknown number but I never picked up. No idea who it was.

Got a call from someone pretending to be O2, but the accent definitely wasn’t British. Felt like a scam for sure.

Got a call from some place saying they could fit me with a new boiler for free through a government scheme or something. It was that typical call centre vibe. I told them to buzz off and made it clear I don’t appreciate cold calls. Pretty sure it was just another dodgy scam.

Got a call from someone named Harry who when I asked where he was calling from, said Pakistan. Definitely a dodgy scam call, best not to pick up!

Just got a call from some call centre saying I could get a free boiler replacement. Seems like a total scam to me, no way I'd trust it.

Got a call from this number earlier, the bloke on the other end had a really strong Indian accent. Managed to catch just the usual greetings like "how are you," but after that, it was all gibberish to me. When he said something I couldn’t make out, I just told him no thanks, not interested, then hung up and blocked the number straight away. Feels like a total scam to me.

Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call from Just. Allied claiming they're running some government program to swap out boilers if they're over 15 years old.

I’ve gotten four calls from this number on my landline, but each time they hung up without leaving a voicemail.

They've rung me before, each time pretending to be someone else. This definitely isn’t their first go.

My wife picked up and when the caller asked about our boiler, she said she had no idea since we’ve got no boiler at all - everything’s electric here. The person just hung up straight away!

I got a call from this lady with a strong subcontinental accent, seemed to be in some really noisy call centre. She said she was ringing on behalf of ECO FORUM, which she claimed is a government-backed scheme giving out grants to swap out old boilers. Sounds dodgy to me though, I looked it up and there’s no such thing as ECO FORUM! Probably just a scam.

I looked up this number and it looks like it’s linked to a boiler scam. They ignored my TPS registration, so I didn’t pick up and didn’t leave any voicemail. Honestly, I think this number is dodgy and best avoided.

They totally ignored the TPS list. Their English was awful and the script sounded rubbish. I just told them I don’t even have a boiler, we run on nuclear or geothermal heating instead. A right waste of my time!

Got a call from 02037 692259, some woman with an accent I couldn’t really catch, kept jabbering about fixing up my boiler. I told her flat out she was trying a scam on me and then I blocked the number straight away.

My landline rang and when I picked up, it just clicked over to the answerphone. I said hello a couple times, asked if anyone was there, but then they just politely hung up. No message was left at all.

On Friday, I got a call to my work VoIP number. Honestly, I’m not sure how they ended up with it since I don’t really advertise that number anywhere. They didn’t bother leaving a message. From what I’ve read here, it sounds like typical spam.

For weeks I kept getting loads of calls from numbers that all started with 0203... They stopped for a bit but now they're back again. I picked up one time a while ago, and it seemed like some kind of sales pitch, maybe about solar panels, though I can't be certain. I attempted to block these numbers, but it never really worked, possibly because my phone’s a bit old. Really annoying!

They gave me a ring just the one time, then nothing after that, which seems to be the case for a lot of people here. Honestly, what's the point? It's just a pointless bother for all involved.

The phone rang just once and then stopped, what's the deal with that? Absolutely pointless if you ask me.

Been getting calls on our business line from this number, thought they usually went after home phones. Looks like they’re just dialing out without a proper list. Most of the time it only rings a couple of times, and if someone picks up, there’s no reply, just silence before the call ends.

I picked up the call but it immediately cut off after just one ring.

calls keep cutting out, no one answering, then they just hang up. It’s always the same nonsense but from loads of different numbers. I really feel sorry for folks who only have a landline - they must get this rubbish nonstop day in, day out.

Junk call.

I got a couple of rings from this number, but it only rang twice. It seems they’ve got some dodgy system that dials multiple people simultaneously, so I reckon someone else answered it. Best not to ring them back! I had a similar experience a few years back where I took a gamble and called back only to have some bloke yell at me about why I’d phoned him. Despite my protests that I hadn’t made any call, he wouldn’t budge. So, if you do make the mistake of returning one of these calls, chances are your call gets redirected to someone else they were trying to reach. And let me tell you, trying to explain to someone who’s practically losing it that you never called them is quite the challenge!
