I just said hi and they ended the call straight away, guess it’s how I speak to ’em. Idiots.

Someone called saying they were from the Telephone Preference Service and asked for my name, address, and bank info. When I didn’t give it to them, they kept pushing and trying to explain why they needed it. Definitely felt off.

Just got a call from Teesside at 1:12pm. I’ve had calls from these so-called Preference Service ones before, but they’re all scams trying to get your info. The actual Mailing Preference Service doesn’t connect with scammers, they’re only for stopping cold calls and they wouldn’t call you out of the blue. This number’s gotta be a scammer, no doubt.

Got a call from an Asian lady asking if I’m still getting those annoying phone calls. I told her yeah, actually I’m having one right this second. Then she just ended the call.

Was waiting for a call about a job and answered my landline straight away without thinking. Some stranger on the other end was talking nonsense in a foreign language, then just cut off. Felt really dodgy. I decided to check this site like I do, and now I've gone and blocked the number.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from my internet provider about some scam call blocking. She actually knew my name and address which freaked me out a bit. Then she asked for my bank card info to “confirm” my identity. When I asked which company she was from, she said Sky. But I don’t even use Sky for internet. Told her I wouldn’t give any card details and she just ended the call. Total scam for sure.

Earlier today, I received a phone call from this number. The caller insisted they were representing my internet provider and was oddly familiar with my name and address. They went on to say that they could help me eliminate pesky nuisance calls if I provided my bank card details for identity verification. When I asked which provider they were supposedly with, they mentioned Sky - but that’s not who I’m signed up with! I immediately refused to share my card info, and just like that, they hung up. Clearly, it was a scam attempt!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from the nuisance calls team, saying my contract to block spam calls was about to run out (which I've never signed up for). He warned me I'd get around twenty junk calls daily if I didn't renew. The bloke seemed to have a lot of my info like my full name and where I live. Then he asked for my debit card expiry date to 'confirm' my details, but I refused and told him I wasn’t giving out any card info. After that, he just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with the telephone preference service, but it just didn’t feel right at all. They started off by telling me my account was about to run out, then quickly switched to saying I needed to upgrade it. Quite obviously a dodgy scam! What a load of rubbish!

I got a call from a bloke who said he was with the Telephone Preference Service, even gave my old address and the name of someone who lived here like 15 years back! Then he started going on about how I pay bills monthly through direct debit and that my debit card was about to expire. I told him straight away that direct debits don’t involve a card, so it was obviously a dodgy call. I thanked him sarcastically and ended the call. I’ve also made sure to report it to the real TPS.

The individual on the line had not only my name spot on but also my correct address and phone number. They claimed to be reaching out to help me "stop unwanted and nuisance calls." However, when they inquired about the expiry date of my bank card, I mentioned that my husband had it on him at his workplace. They then said they would ring me back later.
