Some bloke with an Asian accent said he was ringing from the London branch of the Wall Street Journal! He kept asking all sorts - my age, how much I earn, if I own a house, what stocks I’ve got and stuff like that. When I questioned why my name even mattered for this survey, he just said he was just doing his job for the WSJ. I ended the call straight away.

His English was really poor, barely made sense what he was saying. He asked about a different name and when I said that wasn’t me, he wanted to know my name but I didn’t tell him and then he just ended the call.

I got a call on my phone from Sweden and the caller asked for me by my full name. The voice sounded like a guy with an Indian accent. When I said yes, it’s me he was after, he just went “hmm” then quickly said “sorry madam” and ended the call. No idea what that was meant to be all about.
