02037691366 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02037691366 👆 is reported as a persistent scam targeting individuals with automated calls falsely claiming to be from HMRC about legal action or lawsuits. The robocalls use threatening language and urge recipients to press a number to speak to a caseworker, often seeking personal information such as National Insurance numbers. Callbacks to the number typically fail or connect to aggressive, foreign-accented operators demanding payment or sensitive details. Many victims, including the elderly, have been disturbed or frightened by these calls, with some losing money after engaging. Genuine HMRC contacts do not operate in this manner. Recipients are strongly advised to hang up immediately, not provide any personal data, and report the number to Action Fraud and the Information Commissioner's Office.

They keep ringing my number and then just hang up, leaving messages on my answerphone. It's really annoying and I feel like they're just harassing me. Honestly, it's disgraceful behaviour from these people. Wonder if I could take legal action against them for this constant pestering.

I've actually received this call myself. At first, it seems quite legit since it’s the typical BT woman’s voice on the phone, but then you realise that 'filing a lawsuit' is a phrase more common in the US, which makes it a bit suspicious.

Just called the tax office and they confirmed I don't owe a penny, so this is definitely a scam. Make sure you report this number to the police for fraud.

Got a voicemail just like many others warning me that 'HMRC is suing me.' Tried ringing them back, but the number was dead. What a load of idiots!

Listened to part of a recorded call, then looked up the number and saw these reviews. Lucky I didn’t stay on for the whole message - it seems like it would have been pretty worrying, judging by what others said. Just another scummy scam attempt, really.

We got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC asking us to press 1. My wife quickly ended the call. Later, we looked it up on different websites and saw loads of warnings about that exact scam.

I got a call from this number today and I let it go to voicemail. It was an automated woman’s voice saying she was from HMRC and warning me about some legal action, telling me to press 1 to talk to someone. I’ve already reported it to the ICO here - https://ico[.]org[.]uk/concerns/ and also to Action Fraud - http://www[.]actionfraud[.]police[.]uk/report_fraud[.] If you ever get this call, please don’t ignore it and make sure to report it too!

Had a call a minute ago, my daughter picked up and it really frightened her. If HMRC was really trying to get hold of me, I reckon they'd do it differently. Seeing all these comments here makes me breathe easier. Definitely a scam.

Just like others have said, I got a voicemail on my answerphone saying HMRC were starting legal action against me. It really upset me and made me feel quite uneasy. Just like many others, this caller claimed to be from HMRC and said there was a legal case against me. She didn’t ask for my bank details, but insisted on my National Insurance number and wanted me to say out loud that I agreed to pay £987 to HMRC. When I asked for a contact number so my accountant could get in touch or if they could confirm they were from HMRC, she got very harsh. She warned that if I ended the call, my bank account would be frozen, my possessions seized, and I’d get a summons. I stopped responding but kept the line open, and eventually she just hung up.

I got a call from 02037691366 telling me HMRC were about to sue me. It was proper worrying and I tried ringing them back since I hadn’t pressed option 1 initially, but the line was always busy. Luckily, I decided to check the number online and stumbled upon this site. I’m turning 70 soon, and after seeing all the similar stories here, I feel like I can finally rest easy tonight.

Got a call from this number earlier, some automated voice saying HMRC were taking me to court and to press 1. Then I got put on to a really pushy woman who claimed to be with HMRC, asking for my National Insurance number. I told her I didn’t have it to hand and asked if I could give a number for my accountant instead. She then gave me a dodgy phone number and warned me in a threatening way that if I hung up to call either HMRC or my accountant, my bank account would be frozen straight away, plus I'd get a court summons and they’d seize my belongings. She tried to get me to say on the phone that I agreed to pay £987, but I refused and she kept speaking in a really aggressive manner with a strong foreign accent.
