02037691366 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02037691366 👆 is reported as a persistent scam targeting individuals with automated calls falsely claiming to be from HMRC about legal action or lawsuits. The robocalls use threatening language and urge recipients to press a number to speak to a caseworker, often seeking personal information such as National Insurance numbers. Callbacks to the number typically fail or connect to aggressive, foreign-accented operators demanding payment or sensitive details. Many victims, including the elderly, have been disturbed or frightened by these calls, with some losing money after engaging. Genuine HMRC contacts do not operate in this manner. Recipients are strongly advised to hang up immediately, not provide any personal data, and report the number to Action Fraud and the Information Commissioner's Office.

I keep getting these relentless calls from a law firm regarding some sort of lawsuit, and they just leave messages on my answering machine. Honestly, it's quite ridiculous and incredibly frustrating! Such unprofessional behaviour from them, I must say.

I've received a similar call myself. Initially, it appears quite credible, what with the familiar voice of the BT representative. However, upon reflection, the phrase 'filing a lawsuit' strikes me as distinctly American, doesn’t it?

Just called the tax office and they confirmed I don't owe a penny, so this is definitely a scam. Make sure you report this number to the police for fraud.

I got a voicemail from this number, just like many others, saying they were from the 'HMRC' and had a lawsuit to discuss. Tried ringing them back, but it’s a totally inactive line. What a load of nonsense! Absolute muppets!

Listened to part of a recorded call, then looked up the number and saw these reviews. Lucky I didn’t stay on for the whole message - it seems like it would have been pretty worrying, judging by what others said. Just another scummy scam attempt, really.

We got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC asking us to press 1. My wife quickly ended the call. Later, we looked it up on different websites and saw loads of warnings about that exact scam.

I got a call from this number today and I let it go to voicemail. It was an automated woman’s voice saying she was from HMRC and warning me about some legal action, telling me to press 1 to talk to someone. I’ve already reported it to the ICO here - https://ico[.]org[.]uk/concerns/ and also to Action Fraud - http://www[.]actionfraud[.]police[.]uk/report_fraud[.] If you ever get this call, please don’t ignore it and make sure to report it too!

Had a call a minute ago, my daughter picked up and it really frightened her. If HMRC was really trying to get hold of me, I reckon they'd do it differently. Seeing all these comments here makes me breathe easier. Definitely a scam.

I received a rather alarming call today from a number claiming they were from HMRC and suggesting that I was to be sued. It was clearly a pre-recorded message, so I hung up straight away. I've since lodged a report with Action Fraud regarding the incident.

Just like many others, this caller claimed to be from HMRC and said there was a legal case against me. She didn’t ask for my bank details, but insisted on my National Insurance number and wanted me to say out loud that I agreed to pay £987 to HMRC. When I asked for a contact number so my accountant could get in touch or if they could confirm they were from HMRC, she got very harsh. She warned that if I ended the call, my bank account would be frozen, my possessions seized, and I’d get a summons. I stopped responding but kept the line open, and eventually she just hung up.

I recently received a rather alarming call from this number, which was automated and claimed to be from HMRC, threatening me with court action unless I pressed 1. When I finally connected with a rather hostile woman who said she was from HMRC, she demanded my national insurance number. I told her I couldn't recall it and requested a contact number for my accountant to ring back. She provided me with what I suspected to be a bogus number and warned me that if I hung up to speak to my accountant or HMRC, they'd immediately freeze my bank account, serve me with a summons, and seize my belongings. The woman insisted I verbally agree to pay £987, but when I refused to do so, her aggressive tone escalated, and I noticed a distinct foreign accent in her voice.

Received a call claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs. They instructed me to press 1 to speak with my case officer. So, I gave them a ring back, and the caller picked up saying it was indeed HMRC. I couldn’t resist asking if they were familiar with what that acronym meant. Then I let them know I would be notifying the police about this.
