I got a ring from a bloke named Oliver who said he was with Legal & General. I entered my info on a site called [#]isasearch[###] as well as on [#]isa-market[###], then shortly after Oliver gave me a buzz. Turns out, this guy isn’t even with Legal & General anymore and the products he talked about aren’t real. Total scam - definitely don’t put your money in!

Complete rip off. They throw around an FCA number that’s actually linked to an old investment bond from L&G back in 2007, which comes with risks. The FCA site even flags them for cloning other firms. They nicked names from Linidkin, which are legit. I reckon these lot are behind that dodgy Alliance Investments bond scam kicking off early May. Steer well clear, seriously.

They spoke really nicely on the phone and mentioned a bond that sounded almost too perfect. The truth is, the so-called L&G private client division isn’t real at all. They do send over a nice-looking portfolio, but if you check any legit L&G stuff, the address is written as "ONE" not just the number 1 on the final page. The person named Jonathan Fiber is supposed to be a client manager at L&G, but that’s definitely not the person you’re actually talking to.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Legal & General Investments, saying there’s a bond deal offering 3.5% interest if you lock it in for two years. Turns out it’s a total scam - I rang up Legal & General myself and they confirmed it wasn’t them. They advised me to report it to the police and fraud department so they could try to shut this down. The callers kept hassling me for my bank info and other personal details, so watch out, don’t fall for it!

The caller was super polite and seemed really legit, but something wasn’t quite right. Turns out, there isn’t actually a private client team at L&G like they claimed. Got a call from this number about a "Dynamic Bond" they claimed was from Legal and General - sounded dodgy because the interest rates were way too good to be true. The bloke rang me repeatedly but only gave his first name. He also emailed a 20-page document which looked pretty detailed but didn’t really convince me, feels like a smart scam if you ask me. Just to set the record straight, Legal and General don’t actually sell anything like that. Don’t trust everything you read in other reviews, be careful!

My dad, who’s quite old, got a phone call from this number. The person said they were from Legal & General and they were trying to pitch something called a dynamic bond. It struck me as fishy for two reasons - first, the phone number listed on their leaflet isn’t actually on the L&G website, and second, I couldn’t find anything about this product on the I&Q site either. The leaflet itself seemed pretty genuine, with loads of talk about compensation schemes and all that. It’s just strange that he got this call right after one of his NS&I bonds had come to term.

Best steer clear of this one.

scam warning - got a call from a bloke saying he was from Legal & General, going on about some ISA bond with crazy high returns. seemed dodgy so i rang up Legal & General myself and turns out the deal he spoke about has nothing to do with their real funds. be really careful and dont send them cash. they want payment by bank transfer and if you do it, your bank most likely wont cover you if you get ripped off.

If someone calls saying they’re from your broadband company and tells you there’s a problem, beware. They might ask you to sort it out by buying gift cards and handing over the codes. Don’t fall for it - paying them won’t mean you get your data back or anything. Best thing is to just hang up and don’t let them on your PC at all.
