Just got a call around 11.25 on 12/04/22, and it’s totally a scam. Some woman said her name was Susan from Amazon security, claimed someone was buying a £500 smartphone with my account. Absolute rubbish! If your Amazon account’s safe, there’s no way anyone’s messing with it. Don’t fall for their tricks. They’re super smooth, but don’t trust a word. You can check the number using 1471 and report it on this site. Don’t even think about calling back - if I had, I’d have told them where to shove it! Stay sharp, folks.

This morning my landline rang and the person said they were from ‘Amazon Verifications’. They claimed there was an attempt to spend £700 on our account yesterday evening and told me to look at my emails. I said thanks and ended the call. After checking my inbox, I found no messages from Amazon regarding this supposed purchase. I then tried calling 0203 769 0172 to get more info but the number wasn’t reachable.

Got a call from this number on my home phone. They claimed someone had bought a £650 smartphone via my Amazon account around 10pm yesterday and wanted to confirm if it was me. I told them I hadn’t ordered anything at that time, and the bloke just told me to 'shut up' before slamming the phone down. Lovely attitude! Haha, what a joke.
