Somebody rang me, trying to trick me into giving personal info so they could unlock some Bitcoin wallet funds. I don't even have an account, but I reckon they might have nabbed my details somewhere else. They kept pushing hard for my info, clearly desperate to get in. When I asked them to provide proof of their identity and where exactly that account was supposedly held, they got annoyed and just ended the call. Definitely a scam attempt.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with the Blockchain Monitoring Authority, saying they needed to confirm I owned an account so they could reach their lawyers and return some money to me. They tried to get me to install a screen sharing app on my phone or computer. Don’t fall for it - this is definitely a scam. Once you start questioning them and asking for proof that they’re legit, their attitude suddenly shifts and gets a bit dodgy. Stay alert and don’t let them get you to share anything on your device.
