It was clearly a ruse aimed at luring me into entering 'eventvwr' in my 'run' command to compromise my computer. They appeared to have personal details about me, including my name, phone number, address, and TalkTalk account number, and were quite relentless in their insistence that they were legitimate representatives from TalkTalk, even when I challenged them. Once they realised their tactics weren’t working, they resorted to a barrage of foul language and abuse - this has happened on two separate occasions, suggesting it’s part of their usual strategy. They weren’t at all pleased when I mentioned I had recorded our conversation to report their dubious activities to TalkTalk.
