I received a call from this number but they didn’t bother to leave a message. Curious, I called back, and a voice on the other end said, “Good day, switchboard. How may I assist you?” When I probed further, the woman claimed to be from the Royal Free Hospital. Feeling dubious, I hung up, and upon investigation, I found the Royal Free Hospital's actual number is 020 3758 2000. The number I rang back identified itself as “You’re connected to the Royal Free Hospital NHS.” So now I’m wondering, is 020 3758 2001 a scam, and how on earth did they manage to get my details?
