Got a call from a bloke saying he was from DSG about renewing my washing machine service contract. He had my name and where I live, and said he could knock £5 off the monthly fee. Thing is, I’m already insured but through a different firm, so I had a funny feeling. Then he started asking for my bank info, and that’s when I knew it was dodgy. Told him to jog on. Makes you wonder how these people don’t get any guilt.

Somebody rang, asked if it was me, then started going on about a washing machine at some other place, and then just ended the call.

Got a call earlier about some washing machine insurance or whatever. I told the bloke straight up I wasn’t interested and to buzz off. Then he rang me AGAIN and had the cheek to say, "I don't see why you’re telling me to buzz off, this cover is important to you!" I had to repeat myself, told him once more I’m not interested and to leave me alone. Sorted now by blocking the number. Honestly, this feels like one dodgy scam!

I've been receiving persistent calls claiming that the warranty or insurance for our washing machine is due for renewal. The curious thing is, we've never actually purchased any cover for our appliances in the first place!

Like some others here, I got a call about renewing a washing machine service contract, which we don't even have. When I asked which machine they meant, the guy got annoyed and kept cutting me off. He threw out a fake reference number before just hanging up. I’m fine dealing with this, but I worry older people might get caught out. Their pushy attitude is just nasty. Honestly, these types should be scrapped.

On the 23rd of July 2018 at about 12:53, this number rang me but there was nothing, just complete silence. It feels quite distressing especially for older people and could cause harm. Somebody should really do something to put an end to this.
