They keep calling about some art investment, even though I’ve said a bunch of times I don’t wanna hear it. I guess they grabbed my number off some list called beneficial or something. They keep ringing from different numbers and with all sorts of fake names to dodge call blockers. Honestly, still not keen at all.

Got a call from some persistent cold caller. Kept jabbering on and on like a rabbit wouldn’t shut up.

They’re basically con artists pushing expensive artwork on folks who really don’t have the money for it.

Over the last couple of days, I got two calls from someone pushing me to put money into art. They wanted a £50 upfront payment and kept pestering about which card I'd be paying with. Then they asked for my address to send some flyer or whatever, and they even asked how old I was. Bit by bit, they were fishing for all sorts of info - card details, my date of birth, name on the card, the lot. All sounding proper posh, like from London. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

This person keeps calling asking for someone I’m not. They got the surname right but the address is totally wrong and unfamiliar to me. When I said I wasn’t the person they wanted and that they didn’t live here, I told them I didn’t know anyone with that name. Since my surname’s the same, they then asked if my first name was Donald, because they were actually looking for Don. I told them I have no idea who Donald or Don is and asked them to take Don Anderson off their records. I reckon they might call back just to ask for my last name again.

A bloke calling himself Dave has been ringing from something called "Frederick Charles fine art." He's pushing for you to put money into some artwork. When I asked him for details, he was quick to say "yeah, no problem," but then suddenly wanted a deposit to hold the piece for me. I told him I wanted more info first, not to be asked for cash straight away! (The way he talks, making statements and then a "yeah?" to get you to agree, screams fishy.) Honestly, he’d be better off peddling shady cars than this rubbish! Stay clear of this one, no matter what!

I get calls like 3 or 4 times daily from these numbers. Whenever I pick up and stay silent, I can hear a busy call centre noise on the line, then they hang up straight away. I've blocked a few numbers that are almost the same throughout this week. It's really annoying!

Got a call from some investment company, something like Sotheby's but not quite. They wanted me to put money into one of their art sale deals. The guy couldn’t even recall the number he’d dialled initially. When he asked for my mobile, I told him I’d only just changed it, so I wasn’t sure what it was myself. Basically, it was one of those annoying cold calls trying to get you to invest in art, wine, property - whatever they’re flogging at the moment. Personally, I wouldn’t go near it with a ten-foot pole. Best thing to do: just hang up and move on.
