He thought he was making a clever move by buying Steam gift cards from Curry’s, believing that he would somehow recover his funds. I can’t help but feel infuriated, especially since I was away on holiday at the time and couldn't be there to prevent him from being duped. It's just heartbreaking to think that it was all his remaining money, and now there's no way for him to reclaim it.SteamCurry7 yearsI’ve had a right sketchy experience with this phone number. They were after my PayPal information, including my name and other personal details, keeping me on the line for far too long. The first bloke asked for some kind of authorisation for Bitcoin, but once I said no, he promptly hung up. When I called back, the next chap kept me talking for nearly 46 minutes before trying to get me to buy either a £500 or £1000 Google Play card from a local shop or online. I found this very suspect and turned him down. Then he adjusted his demand down to £50-£100, claiming that with the code I’d provide, I could supposedly secure my PayPal account as it had been cloned in China. When I declined, he got a bit snotty, saying he’d wasted his time with me and would leave a note for his mates. After I hung up, I went on to find the official PayPal number and confirmed with them that my account was safe, so there was no need for concern. Oddly enough, the call didn’t show up in my call log at all, not even the number, though I did take a screenshot.
