I was away on holiday at the time and honestly wish I’d been around to stop him from being caught up in this scam. I’m so angry since that was all the money he had left, and now it’s gone for good.SteamCurry7 yearsThis number is a total scam. They tried to get my PayPal info and personal details, keeping me on the line for ages. The first guy asked for some bitcoin DD authorisation which I refused, then he just hung up on me. When I called back, a different person put me on hold for 46 minutes, then told me to buy Google Play cards worth £500 or £1000 from a shop or online. I was suspicious and said no, so he dropped the amount to around £50-£100, saying with the code I could protect my PayPal because apparently my account was cloned in China. When I declined, he got quite rude, complaining about the time he’d spent and threatening to leave a note for his team. I hung up and then contacted PayPal directly using their official number, who assured me that everything is fine and safe. Weirdly, the scam calls don’t appear in my call log, and the number didn’t show up either, but I did take a screenshot.
