Wakey was on the phone sounding like they were pretending to be from EE, bit of a joke really.

That bloke was a total scammer from India, I swear! I’m so annoyed I want to wrap him up in a Tesco bag and chuck him in my cellar. I lost £2.50 to him, which might not sound much but I could’ve had a proper meal with that! So frustrating!

Got a call from someone saying they were from EE but couldn’t answer simple questions about my bill. I told them to stop their nonsense and hung up. But this person kept ringing me back, acting really strange and even started asking if I was married or not! I handed the phone to my husband and the caller still wouldn’t quit. In the end, I just had to block the number altogether.

Just got a call from EE, some Indian call centre, asking how my service was since I’m a new user. When I said it wasn’t great, they promised to lower my next bill, mentioning loads of issues over the holidays. Not sure if I should even expect that discount now! They said they’d email me to confirm it, but it’s been around half an hour and still no email. Feels a bit dodgy, maybe a scam?

Just to give an update after my late report - still no sign of that email, so it’s definitely a scam. I ended up ringing my bank after they asked me to verify my name, address, and last 4 digits of my account for some supposed ‘refund’. I don’t think they can misuse those details, but just in case, I asked my bank to flag my account with a warning note. Better safe than sorry!

Someone called James David, with an employee number 6016, rang me from EE telling me my contract could be upgraded. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

I never rang this number, yet somehow got a text saying I missed a call from them (which I definitely did not). Pretty obvious scam aiming to get you to ring them back. Seems like these scammers are taking the easy route nowadays!

This bloke called saying he was from a mobile network, asking if my wifi or phone data was slow. I tried asking a few questions and he got all defensive. Definitely a SCAM, don't trust them or share any details!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from EE, said I could get a 40% reduction on my monthly bill. The bloke had a very typical Indian name but called himself Mike, which was a bit odd. He asked for my name, date of birth and postcode to apply the discount. Then he even suggested I visit him in Bromley for a cuppa and a chat in person! After a short while, I rang EE myself to check it out, and the woman on the other end told me she’d never come across this offer, so she flagged it as a scam.

Got a call claiming to be from EE saying my account needed urgent attention. Thing is, I’ve never even had an EE account! The caller had an Irish accent, and I told them politely to shove off, or something along those lines.

I received a rather dubious call from 020 3744 8283, where the chap on the other end was trying to convince me to upgrade my plan, despite the fact that it's nowhere near due for renewal! I politely declined, but then he claimed he could reduce my bills instead. I couldn't help but challenge him, pointing out that if he were genuinely from EE, he’d surely be aware of my upgrade schedule. His temper flared and I ended the call after giving him a piece of my mind. Quite the cheek, isn't it?
