I received a pre-recorded message purportedly from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, requesting that either I or my solicitor get in touch with them. Definitely a scam!

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, threatening me with legal trouble unless I or my lawyer call them right away. It's definitely fake, DO NOT fall for this, it's just a scam trying to frighten you.

I got a call from them as well and when I picked up, I ended up getting some threats. But I did manage to catch his name - apparently it was Jake Wilson, and he mentioned his badge number was 19927104.

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC saying I owed £600 and it had to be paid immediately or the police would come to arrest me, take my cars, and even break into my house!! Total scam.

Like others have mentioned, this call was definitely a scam pretending to be from HMRC, trying to scare me with talk of legal trouble. No doubt about it.

Just to back up what loads of folks have mentioned, it’s definitely a fake HMRC call. The message was robotic, no real person speaking, telling me to "ring back or else." There’s no chance HMRC would threaten like that. Best advice - don’t bother calling them back!
