They had actually rung me twice prior to my response. Fortunately, I recognised it as a scam straight away, considering we already have a reliable local plumber sorted for such matters. This is clearly a cold call and poses a risk for unsuspecting individuals who might fall victim. It seems to be just another number these scammers are using, so I felt compelled to share this information.

I received a phone call at 16:17 today, the 25th of February 2015. The bloke on the other end claimed to represent Quick Fit Boiler Warranty Company, saying that my boiler cover had lapsed. I explained to him that I’ve never had any such cover because I recently installed a Worcester boiler that comes with a six-year breakdown warranty. I insisted he refrain from calling me again before abruptly ending the conversation.
