Utterly vexing! I’ve been hounded by this unsolicited caller who seemed to know my name, repeatedly ringing my office line over a few days. They left a name and this number, claiming to be reachable on Teams post 11 am. It was as if they had a personal rapport with my colleagues, chatting with them as though we were on friendly terms! The company turns out to be Clear View, an outfit supposedly involved in net zero consultancy but clearly just cold calling. I rang them back to politely convey our disinterest and mention that we’re registered with the TPS, and wouldn’t you know it - they promptly hung up on me!

I had an experience with a chap named Stephen Bower, who was apparently gathering carbon data for SECR reporting, claiming it was a legal obligation. When I inquired if it was a sales call and asked him not to ring again, he dishonestly insisted it was indeed a legal matter and stated he would call back. I later spoke with someone named Stephen Garvin Foster, who identified himself as the manager and confirmed that it was, in fact, a sales call. This company, Clear Vue Business, seems to be running a bit of a racket, misleading folks into engaging with them. It’s quite alarming. They could certainly benefit from a solid training programme for their staff!
