This bloke called, said his name was James, and kept pressing to talk to my dad, who’s 88 and currently in hospital. He was really pushy, asking when dad would be home, but wouldn’t say who he worked for or what the call was about. I told him I wouldn’t share any details without knowing who he was, but he just got more rude and aggressive. I told him it probably was just a cold call. Honestly, this number should be blocked, as he was clearly an unpleasant telemarketer. Honestly, I’m just relieved I answered so I could shut it down.

At around 5.45pm, I got a call from 02037407953. The caller said they were from an insurance firm, trying to tell me that the warranty on my washing machine had run out and asked if I wanted to renew for another year. I told them I was sceptical because my machine is about 18 years old, and I couldn’t imagine any insurer covering something that old. When I asked for the brand name, he couldn’t give me an answer. So, I just said I didn’t trust the call and hung up.
