Whenever a call comes from an 0203 number, it’s usually from a firm pushing fuel deals, accident con artists or those IVA people. Blocking the number doesn’t really help, I do it too, but they somehow find a way through. Better not pick up, or if you do, get them to say your name, then mute them and just ignore it while they blabber away.

Got a call from 02037407792 about reviewing my life insurance, claiming I hadn’t done one. I said, “I actually have, sorted it out and happy with it. Where did you get this info? Sounds like a GDPR breach mentioning personal data like that.” Then she started yelling, “Oh you have, have a lovely evening then.” I raised my voice, “Yes I have, and I hope you’re recording this for training.” She kept going for a bit before hanging up. Honestly, GDPR’s bringing some positives at last.

So this girl with an accent, sounded Asian, called sayin’ they had a cheque for me ‘bout some accident I supposedly had. I was like alright, then she passes me over to a guy who sounded South African. I ended up asking him loads about Cape Town and where he lives in Liverpool now. Then outta nowhere, he just hangs up on me! Proper scammers, took no time before I blocked them. My list keeps getting longer!

cheers for the heads up, i ignored 2 calls from 02037407792 on my phone cos it looked dodgy and now glad i did.0203 numbers are often call centres with loads of fake extensions. also watch out for the 01622 calls on landlines here in maidstone, robot saying your internet will get cut if you dont press 1 - dont press anything just hang up, total scam pretending to be bt but bt wouldnt do that. my neighbour got the same call, targeting older people whose details are public from the electoral register, proper shady stuff.
