~I've been receiving calls from a firm claiming to be linked to O2.

The name of the company is Upgrade Expert, and they insisted that based on my O2 account, I’m eligible for an upgrade.

However, I’ve just completed an upgrade with O2 less than a month ago.

Clearly, this is a scam; the person's name was Sammy, and when I asked for his surname, he became quite defensive and a bit rude when I requested that they remove my contact details from their records.

I then contacted customer support at O2, and they were completely unaware of this company, reiterating that they never disclose any of my account details to external parties.
