Like a few other people mentioned, some bloke called saying he was from an investment firm I supposedly had spoken to before (can’t say I remember that). He was pushing investment bonds and kept going on about how the FSCS covers your money up to £85,000. I told him that’s all well and good, but it doesn’t mean the bonds themselves won’t lose value - then suddenly he just hung up!

They keep ringing my landline and mobile so many times. I don’t pick up the landline cause I know who it is. It just goes to voicemail but they never leave a message. I’ve blocked the number on my mobile, so even if it shows up as a missed call, it doesn’t actually ring. Honestly, it doesn’t annoy me much - I’m quite happy to let them keep trying for nothing. Pathetic people with nothing better to do!

Got a call from 02037406295 today, 25th Nov 2020, about 12:01 in the afternoon. I didnt pick up and as soon as the voicemail started, they hung up. This is just like the times before, always seem to do the same thing. Proper annoying!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from an investment firm, saying I reached out to them last week. Thing is, I never did. Told them I actually manage investment funds myself and they just cut me off straight away. Honestly, my tip is to avoid talking to these folks altogether - it’s definitely a scam.

Got a call from someone saying I’d asked about something “right before lockdown” which I definitely hadn’t done. Then they started quizzing me about my finances and how much I planned to put in. They claimed they were selling NatWest bonds but said they’d sold out, so now they were offering Barclays ones instead. When I questioned why Barclays hadn’t approached me with their ISAs at 3.75%, the caller suddenly switched to talking about long-term bonds being resold or something. Just sounded like total nonsense, felt like a scam to me.

this number called me and asked if they could speak to me by name. then about 20 mins later they phoned back, so when i picked up i said "hello, huntingdonshire police" and they just hung up straight away. ive now blocked the number on my phone.

I got a call from that number earlier today, I’m based in central Scotland. As soon as I called him out for being a scammer, the guy just ended the call. Heads up to anyone with a BT account 1542 - you can block calls like this yourself by adding the number to your blacklist. Stay safe!

I'm pretty sure this is a scam. Yesterday, a bloke called from 201/0/20 asking if I’d done any investments this year, trying to get my financial info. Then today, a young lady rang, both saying they were from some kind of bank or financial company. Definitely fishy.
