I got a call out of the blue, bloke just straight up telling me my internet bill was gonna jump by £45 in October. He tried pushing some "better offer" on me, but when he started asking for my info, I just ended the call.

I got a call on my mobile from someone claiming to be with BT, saying they wanted to offer me a better deal to cut down my bills. I told them I'd call back later, but they questioned why I wouldn't just chat then and there. Something felt off straight away. For starters, BT typically uses 0800 numbers, right? Plus, I know BT has hiked prices recently, so seems unlikely they'd offer to lower my bill, especially when I’m still locked into a contract. My mobile contract isn’t with them anymore, only my landline is, so why were they ringing my mobile instead of that? Also, this was the second call on my mobile today; I’d just reported and blocked the first one via 7726, and I'll do the same for this one too. Definitely seems like a dodgy unsolicited call to me.
