02037403517 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02037403517 👆 is reported as a persistent scam linked to unsolicited texts claiming users have subscribed to a £4.50 weekly premium service from Nexgen Ltd or associated names. Many recipients deny authorising these charges, which appear despite no explicit consent. Attempts to stop payments by replying 'STOP' to a shortcode sometimes work but often do not guarantee refunds or prevent further deductions. Mobile providers like Vodafone, O2, and Tesco have been urged to block such premium services, yet users frequently experience poor support and difficulty recovering funds. The company behind the texts often behaves evasively when contacted. Vigilance is advised: do not respond or call the number provided, report the issue to your provider and the Phone Services Authority, and monitor your bills for unexpected deductions.

My Vodafone account has been charged £4.50 three times by this company - on the 20th and 27th of May, then again on June 3rd. Vodafone told me to ring "My Life" at 02037403517 to sort out getting a refund. Apparently it’s for some competition, but I never take part in any competitions.

I got a message from NexGen saying I'd have to pay £4.50 a week for Games4mobile. At first, I figured it was dodgy based on what others had said before. So, I used Vodafone's online chat to get them to block any premium texts going in or out. Fingers crossed that does the trick!

Got a message about money being taken every week, but I didn’t reply with STOP like I heard some scammers make you do. What else can I do? Just wait a whole month and check if they’ve actually charged me?

Whoever is behind this, I never requested any games. Sounds like a total scam to me. I really hope they don’t manage to take any payment, but from what I’ve seen, there’s barely anything we can do to stop it. Still, how on earth do they even get hold of our phone numbers in the first place?

As soon as I got that message, I rang up the 02 fraud team straight away. They told me to reply with "STOP" to 64055. I got a text saying I'd been unsubscribed pretty much right after.

A mate of mine spotted extra fees on her phone bill from Jammitup.com, even though she never signed up for anything with them. Seems like some firms can sneak charges like this! The Phone Services Authority suggests she requests her money back directly from the company (try entering the number in the PSA Service Checker). If that doesn’t work out, she should file a complaint through the PSA’s site. Sounds like they might be breaking some rules. https://psauthority.org.uk/for-consumers

Over the last couple of months, £18 has been taken off my Tesco Mobile without me agreeing to it, all linked to Game4 Phones (Nexgen Ltd). Tesco told me to get in touch with the PSA. Honestly, I’m quite let down by this. You’d think Tesco, being my network provider, would have proper safeguards to protect my account from being messed with.

Got a text out of the blue saying I owe £4.50 each week for some service I never signed up for. Apparently it starts charging me from tomorrow. I got this dodgy text on my O2 mobile, right? Even when I just deleted it without replying, I started getting billed £4.50 every week. Tried sorting it out with O2 but they just brushed me off, saying it's a phone-related fee and not their issue. If you want to stop it, try texting 'STOP' to 64055.

This number has definitely scammed me, withdrawing between £65 and £96 from my O2 account without my permission. Back in January, I got in touch with O2 and they promised to block any further payments to this company, which I never agreed to. O2 told me I’d need to call the number myself to try and sort out a refund, but after trying a few times, I had no luck at all. Today, I contacted O2 again, and thankfully, they’ve finally stopped this company from taking any more money. I’ve also gone ahead and cancelled my direct debit with O2 to be safe.

Pretty sure this is a scam operation, charging you £4.50 a week with no consent and not giving you any real service in return. When I rang the number, I got put through to this US style automated message that covers loads of different firms. So I got this message today and had no clue what was going on. I wondered if it was some kind of scam - like, what if I replied with ‘STOP’ or called the number? Would I end up with a massive bill? I decided to get in touch with O2, my network provider, and they were brilliant about it. They’ve blocked the number, refunded me £4.50, and set up a block on my pay-as-you-go account so no future payments can go through without my say-so. Sure, this means I can’t send donations to causes like Red Nose Day or Children in Need by text anymore, but honestly, I prefer to give in other ways anyway. O2 told me to text STOP to 64055, which I did. It’s shocking that companies can charge your phone without your permission. Seriously, this needs to be stopped.

I've gone through this exact thing - been charged £4.50 three times. After contacting Vodafone, they told me that when these adverts come up and you click ‘ok’ or close them, there's actually something hidden behind that automatically signs you up for these charges.
