Just like a lot of others, I got a call from DAG warning me that my insurance would lapse if I didn’t renew immediately. Proper dodgy bloke, feels like they’re trying to scam cash off innocent folks. Definitely a con job.

They told me the warranty for my washer had run out. When I asked which brand it was, they mentioned some other make. I just hung up straight away.

I just said "bye" and noticed the number looked weird, like it was missing a digit or something. Why is BT allowing these incomplete numbers to get through? Or are they just hiding part of the number? Seems a bit dodgy to me.

I picked up a call from this number and all I heard was "goodbye" before they hung up. I quickly added it to my block list since they tried calling a second time but the call didn't go through. Would recommend NOT sharing any personal info or answering any questions if they ring you.

I got a call from some firm claiming they sell insurance for your household gadgets. Don’t trust it! The company's been out of business for ages, yet a bloke still phones, trying to grab your bank or card info to take money for a dodgy policy that doesn’t even exist. Please don’t give them any personal or financial info - it’s a scam and they’ll just cheat you out of your cash.

Got a call about an hour back on my emergency-only phone, which I haven't shared with anyone. So, I just declined it. Weirdly enough, the very same number just rang again not long ago, so I declined once more. Seems like they’re just dialing out random numbers hoping I’d pick up.

I got two calls from this number. The first time I picked up and kept saying hello but they just hung up on me. The second call was just some automated voice that said goodbye and then ended the call. From what others have said, looks like it’s some kind of scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with DAG saying my washing machine warranty was about to run out. When I asked why I hadn’t got a letter or anything in the post, he told me they’ve stopped sending paper reminders now. He tried saying I was paying £10.97 a month, but I told him that was wrong and then the call just dropped. Definitely a scam. I've blocked the number.

They actually knew exactly who I am, including my full name. Said they were from some place called "Dag" and said they were ringing about my washing machine’s insurance. When I asked, "What insurance?" he went on about my warranty expiring and that I needed to renew it ASAP. Total scam, honestly. How on earth did these scammers get hold of my number? Really annoyed and not impressed with this rubbish at all.

A while back, the Domestic Appliance Group, or DAG, actually stopped operating as a company. I reckon these people calling are just dodgy folks who've somehow got hold of old documents and are trying to con us. Best thing is to just end the call as soon as they start talking about who they are. Total scam if you ask me!

Got two calls today warning me my washing machine warranty was about to run out. Funny thing is, my machine’s nearly 8 years old and no warranty on it at all. When I questioned them, they said they were from DAG, which apparently stands for Domestic Appliance Group. I did have some kind of cover with them ages ago, but for a freezer, not a washing machine. Seems like they might be cold calling old customers trying to push some dodgy extended warranty deals. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

It’s quite curious that all these reports are from today, 19th June 2018. The number itself looks strange and definitely doesn’t match up with typical UK phone numbers. I noticed I got three missed calls from it on a rarely used mobile that I barely touch, not my primary phone for about 8 years now, so they clearly have no clue who I am. Like many others have pointed out, it’s likely just a cold call trying to scam or hassle me. My suggestion? Just block it and move on.
