I kept getting calls from someone pretending to be O2 trying to sell me some ‘deal’. Every time I ended the call, they’d ring straight back, and with each call, they sounded more pushy and annoying.

Let the call ring out and go straight to voicemail. There was a message with someone speaking in really poor English warning me I'd lose my mobile service. Pretty clear it was a scam.
