Right from the beginning it was clear this was a dodgy call, but I decided to humour them to find out what their angle was. They pretended to be from BT, saying my internet was supposedly public and others were using my connection. The funny thing is, that phone number isn’t even linked to any internet service. They tried to get me online to grab my IP address, but I told them my computer flagged it as a scam. Then, out of nowhere, she flipped the story and threatened me with legal action for calling her a scammer! Shows you how rehearsed their stories are.
